Did you know that suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for all people under the age of 44?

And where do we spend the majority of our time?

Mental health in the workplace can feel like a taboo topic. Aside from the stigmas already surrounding the mental health conversation, solutions can be difficult to come by and employees may feel like it’s too personal of a conversation to have with their employer.

As an employer, it can feel overwhelming to try and tackle the issue. Is your HR staff trained to handle this? Do you need to hire someone? WIll your Healthcare provider offer the right solutions? And if so, what do you even ask for?

Fortunately, The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation has years of experience simplifying this process for you. Pulling from our work with Hope Squad, a peer to peer support program that serves over 108,000 students in North Texas, we’ve designed an approach that feels relevant to the business world while meeting the unique needs of your business.

Find the right path for your team.
It all starts with our three-part approach:

Gather

We start by learning about you, your needs and your resources. With an understanding of your mental health resources, organizational structure and every day processes, we create a program personalized for your team’s needs.

Train

Prepped with inside knowledge on your organization, we provide a comprehensive Question, Persuade and Refer training to your employees. This one hour training will help your team identify peers who may be struggling, giving them tools to persuade those individuals to access your organization’s resources or referring them to others who can offer help.

REINFORCE

After the training is complete, our team will work with you to ensure your organization has the resources, systems and connections to handle mental health conversations and crises.

Our programs are personalized for each organization, yet we know that seeing is believing. Some of the great organizations we’ve developed and implemented programs for include:

And of course, we make everything easy to implement.

Our team offers trainings at your office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The personalized approach of the program itself removes potential barriers specific to your organization. Understanding your team and how you think creates a greater sense of comfort for your team than a generic program would.

Together, we can make the workplace a space where mental health thrives!
